Thank You

I knew that taking more than a year away from doing the podcast, changing co-hosts and keeping the name was going to be a difficult thing. Any time a person stops doing something they're fighting to regain their foothold. To top it off I decided that if and when I came back that I would be doing so without the support of my family at Abnormal Entertainment.

Since restarting the show, now six episodes in, I feel the love and support for what it is we're doing. Even though The Gorram Nerd Hour retained it's name it's not the same show. That we've been welcomed back so warmly is a great kindness by all of you.

One of the things I wanted to be sure of when deciding to come back was the choice in co-hosts. Jeremy Taylor has been great at giving me exactly what I knew he would - angry rants and a collaborative spirit. Casey Otero has given me a certain glee that offers the perfect balance between my dry delivery and Jeremy's anger. I feel the three of us together (when we're all available) create a very good team. As much as I want to thank you, the listeners, I feel I owe a great debt to the both of them.

This has been a trying time for me in my life. I'm at an age where a man begins to think about things in a different way. You begin to weigh what is important to you personally. Couple that with job woes and personal strife and life hasn't always been sunshine and roses. Doing this show gives me a chance to forget those things and focus on something creative and fun. Even if you have tuned in and didn't like what we were offering up I don't feel in the least bit swayed to stop. The reason is simple - I need this. And maybe other people do too.

We want to grow our network. We want people to want to be a part of a growing family of podcasters that offer unique perspectives on life, the universe and everything. Unless you believe in reincarnation then you believe that we only get one shot at life. Grab it by the balls. Shake it. Don't let the world dictate your worth. Tell the world to go suck the big one because you're contributing by giving something back. Show them that life is more than a series of crappy moments with an orgasm occasionally thrown in. This is your life and you're gonna live it. That's what I'm striving for and I hope you all do the same.

That's funny, I didn't even know I owned a soapbox let alone could stand on one without it breaking under my weight. Back to my point - Thank you all so much for listening and all the kind words we've heard from you since relaunching The Gorram Nerd Hour.
